Polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH, PVA, or PVAl) Water soluble, non-toxic, pure polymer, made in Germany, packed in the UK. Polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH, PVA, or PVAl) is a non-toxic water-soluble synthetic polymer used in many applications, such as paper-making, textiles, and a variety of coatings.It is effective in film forming, emulsifying, and has an adhesive quality. The grade 18-88 gives higher viscosity in solution (e.g. 18 mPa.s) than that of the grade 8-88 (e.g. 8 mPa.s), when using similar weight concentration (e.g. 4% in water). Lower solution viscosity means easier preparation and application.
